The real one: hard questions, honest score
The Real IQ Test is level 3 - the hardest test on the site and the one we score most strictly. It is modelled on what professional tests measure:
- Pattern reasoning - Raven-style matrices with up to three rules at once, logical overlays (and, or, either-or) and moving parts.
- Numerical reasoning - tricky series, rates and percentage traps.
- Verbal reasoning - advanced vocabulary and analogies.
- Spatial reasoning - mental rotation, paper folding and cube nets.
- Working memory - short items you see for a few seconds, then answer from memory.
How it is scored
Harder questions earn more points, and your total is placed on the standard IQ scale where the average is 100 and the standard deviation is 15. Most people score between 85 and 115 - so a score of 120 here is genuinely strong, and 130+ is exceptional. The scale is calibrated against real results as more people take the test. It is an estimate for self-discovery, not a clinical diagnosis.
Tips
- Take it when you are rested, in a quiet place, with 40 minutes free.
- The memory items show something for a few seconds only once - be ready.
- Don't get stuck: skip ahead and come back with Back.

Which IQ test is the most accurate?
The Real IQ Test (level 3). It has the hardest questions, adds working memory, and is scored honestly on the standard IQ scale - so most people land between 85 and 115. The Official and Advanced tests are easier and score more generously, which makes them a great confidence boost. No online test replaces a clinical assessment.
How accurate is an online IQ test?
Our tests use the same kinds of questions as professional tests - pattern matrices, number series, analogies, deduction, mental rotation and memory - and score you on the familiar IQ scale. They are a well-designed estimate for self-discovery and fun. Only a licensed psychologist using a test such as the WAIS or Stanford-Binet can give a clinical IQ score.
What is a good IQ score?
The average IQ is 100 by definition, and about two-thirds of people score between 85 and 115. A score of 110-119 is above average, 120-129 is superior, and 130 or more puts you in roughly the top 2% - the level Mensa accepts.
How long does the test take?
The Free IQ Test has 20 questions and takes most people 10 to 15 minutes. The Official IQ Test has 50 questions (45-minute limit); the Advanced and Real IQ Tests have 40 questions each (40-minute limit).
Can I share my result?
Yes - that is half the fun. After the test you get a ready-made image for your Instagram or TikTok story and a square post, plus a link. Brain Club adds a PDF certificate with your name that anyone can verify on our site.
Can I retake the test?
Yes, as often as you like. Scores usually rise a little on a second try because the question styles feel familiar - that is normal, and why professional tests limit retakes.
